I’m sure this film was made with great care and love, but in my opinion, opera singers learn to control our breathing. I agree with the other less favorable reviews that the opening scene was a really poor example of playback, especially since I couldn’t see Miss Jolie breathe! Callas clearly had a fascinating life, but I was more drawn to the visuals in this film. This is a film that I put off watching until the end, sorry. I also had high hopes for these two iconic women. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is the biggest TV and streaming premiere of the month. Check out our December calendar for more details!
