Carag, a shape-shifting cougar raised in the wild, enrolls at Clearwater High, a school for Woodwalkers. With his friends Holly (squirrel) and Brandon (bison), he faces the mysteries and dangers of the Woodwalker world. It’s not bad, nothing special, but it’s very similar to the book. However, the actors weren’t that good and the animation was disappointing, even the music wasn’t good. I wouldn’t watch it again, but for young children it’s a good movie (and also good books that are better than the movie). So: good movie for children (but of course, it’s a series of children’s books and a movie for children), plus children don’t pay much attention to the acting, music and animation, so they’ll like it (trust me). I simply recommend reading the book (or all the books) before watching the movie, because they don’t really explain everything and what they do explain they don’t always explain well.

The film had been widely predicted to feature in the Official Competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival but was instead placed in the Cannes Première sidebar
With very mild humor peppered across the film, it narrates the story of a taciturn man who visits a village to attend a mentor’s funeral
Misericordia takes its time to shoot and when it starts shooting, there is no way you can contain your laughter until it crescendoes in the final shot.
What I love about Misericordia is how suddenly it shifts its writing to make the viewer laugh, all in a deadpan style
There he meets his mentor’s wife, his son, and a priest – who all seem to be saying something else from what they have in mind.
